Free nintendo switch with phone deals

Back in October 2021 Nintendo released the latest iteration of its hugely successful Switch console - the Nintendo Switch OLED Edition. This represents a third major addition to the Nintendo Switch range, following the releases of the Nintendo Switch Standard Edition (2017) & the Nintendo Switch Lite (2019).

Back in 2020 we saw huge amounts of price-hiking and scalping for the Nintendo Switch. Of course, a lot of this has to do with the global pandemic (but let's not mention that 'ey), the other reason for this simply comes down to demand. However, now the stock of the consoles has stabilised and they're relatively easy to get. However, if you're looking to pay for the console in instalments rather than in one lump sum, hopefully this article could help you out.

Comparing the prices of the current range, the new OLED Nintendo Switch will set you back around £309.99, the standard model retails for £259.99, whilst the Lite version can be picked up for £199.99. Whichever you are after, it's a fair chunk of money to find and pay in one go.

You could wait for the Black Friday deals later on this year, but why do that when you can spread the cost by way of a fair and understandable finance plan? Also we're a long way from Black Friday right now and there are plenty of great Nintendo Switch exclusives already released back in 2023 which you'd probably want to take advantage of like The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, only expanding fantastic back catalogue of games exclusive to Nintendo's very versatile console.

We've done the research into this and looked at all available Nintendo Switch finance plans in the UK, starting with the retailers that offer zero interest Nintendo Switch finance.

Better yet, if finance offers are still elusive, phone contract renewals seem to be a solid route. We'll explore all of these options below.

Nintendo Switch Financing options including 0% Interest Free Finance

Buying a Nintendo Switch as part of a 0% interest finance plan where possible is always the best choice, as it's the only option where you can pick one up for solely the asking price. Luckily, there's a wide swathe of retailers that make it easy for customers to pick up a 0% interest Nintendo Switch. There are also monthly payment plans that do not have 0% interest free payments and will incur extra payment, we'll outline it all below.

Argos Logo

Argos Nintendo Switch Pay Monthly Options.

Argos' interest free credit is offered up to a period of 12 months, unique in that you can pay it back as and when it suits you, providing it's before that length of time. If you pay within the 12 months then you will pay no interest on your purchase! If you cannot meet any of the minimum monthly payments, you will be charged interest (34.9% APR). If you don't already own an Argos Card, you'll need to sign up for one online, which you do at the checkout stage after adding a Nintendo Switch console to your basket. You'll need to have your console delivered to your home address as your identity will need to be checked as part of the process.

AO Nintendo Switch Pay Monthly Options.

AO's interest free credit is offered over a length of 6 or 12 months, and is paid on a month-by-month basis. There is zero deposit required and you will take delivery of your console the next working day free of charge. Your purchase will need to be over £350 for it to be eligible for the 12 month interest free option, so add a few extras to your basket if this is the time period you need or perhaps a larger Nintendo Switch bundle.

Bear in mind that 0% interest free from AO requires a minimum spend of £200 overall, so if it's a Nintendo Switch Lite you're looking for, be sure to pick one up as part of a bundle. AO interest free credit is also not always available on all products. It is only available on certain product and can be seasonal so be sure to check if they're currently running a 0% interest instalment plans on Nintendo Switch consoles.

GAME Monthy Payment Plans Nintendo Switch deals.

0% interest via GAME is only available through their online storefront using a service called PayPal Credit. It's applicable to any item over £99, so the Nintendo Switch works fine – and must be paid over a 4-month period if you don't wish to pay interest. Buying a Nintendo Switch with PayPal Credit is relatively quick and easy.

GAME are also offering their own new service with 0% interest called Fraser Plus. This is a pay in three months interest-free payment plan where you don't need to pay anything on checkout and can pay in 3 instalments. You can also choose to spread payments on up to 36 months but these will incur interest at a representative APR: of 39.9% (variable). In some cases GAME will also offer reduced prices when you take out a Fraser Plus payment plan but right now their are none of these special offers available for Switch consoles.

Currys Logo

Currys Nintendo Switch Finance Options

One other retailer you may wish to consider is Currys who offer 0% interest with their 9 Month Pay Delay offer. This offer allows you to pick up any of the Switch console models (no bundles) and as long as you pay off the total amount within 9 months you will incur no interest.

Currys is also offering pay monthly Nintendo Switch finance at 29.9% APR representative. They offer flexible payment plans between 12 and 36 months where you can choose to add a deposit or not. This payment plan unlike the 0% interest plan can be used on bundles.

ebay Logo

eBay interest free Nintendo Switch Deals

eBay also offer interest-free credit via PayPal Credit. As previously mentioned with GAME this means you can spread your cost over 4 months for purchases over £99 with 4 interest free instalments over a 4-month period.

eBay is an attractive option when buying a Nintendo Switch console as they frequently have discount codes of up to 20% on selected retailers which can mean you get a Nintendo Switch console cheaper than anywhere else! We always alert via our offers on our home page and our GamingDeals Twitter account when these offers are available.

EE Store (Formerly BT Shop) PS5 Finance Options

EE Store (formerly BT Shop) has made a massive effort as it pushes into the gaming scene with great bundles and plenty of stock on all consoles, Switch included.

On top of already offering some great deals, EE Store has one of the most reasonable and flexible PayPal credit purchasing options that will allow you to pick up a Nintendo Switch with interest-free monthly payments across a range of instalment plans. The table below shows examples of interest-free purchases across different periods ranging from 4 months to 36 months.

The plan available to you is dependent on minimum spend so when it comes to Nintendo Switch you're most likely looking at 4-12 months depending on what suits your needs and what bundle you go for. There are a lot of options here and one of the most generous 0% interest-finance options available when picking up a Nintendo Switch is from the EE Store.

Nintendo Switch Pay Weekly Finance

Choosing to pay for your Nintendo Switch on finance weekly decreases the chances that you'll ever forget that an instalment is due. This option also suits those whose salary is weekly, being a great way to pay off the loan faster to avoid the risk of accruing any interest.

If this is your preferred finance option, one retailer to consider is Argos. Technically, Argos doesn't offer an official pay weekly plan, but the way their finance plan is set up lets you pay instalments whenever you want and so can be treated as weekly. You'll need to sign up for an Argos Card and make sure it's paid off before 12 months.

Nintendo Switch Bad Credit Finance

If you have a poor credit history, your chances of securing finance for a new games console from any of the retailers we've mentioned above is extremely slim.

Personal Finance Options

Whilst you can go the route of financing directly with a retailer if you'd prefer to use personal finance there are a few options available.

Klarna, Paypal and Zilch are some solid options all of which offer 0% interest options as long as the balance is paid off within the agreed period.

PayPal Logo

Zilch Logo

If you're looking to pay over a 6 week period Zilch could be perfect for you. The payment scheme then works as follows:

  1. 1st payment at Checkout = 25%
  2. 2nd payment after 2 weeks = 50%
  3. 3rd payment after 4 weeks = 75%
  4. Final payment after 6 weeks = 100%
