If you’ve been keeping your ear to the ground when it comes to all things PlayStation, odds are you remember the recent announcement of a new attachment that transforms your Dualshock 4 into a Pro controller. Well, we now know how much this so-called ‘Back Button’ will cost and where you’ll be able to buy it from, which may surprise some prospective purchasers.
The Dualshock 4 Back Button attachment will officially launch this Valentine’s Day here in the UK at an RRP of £25.99. That still leaves it at a far cheaper price point than most first-party pro controllers out there, even when added to the Dualshock 4’s standard £49.99 cost. Xbox One’s Elite Series 2 controller, for example, can usually only be picked up for around £150. Still, this Back Button Attachment doesn’t offer quite as many features, but should serve as a nice addition for eSports enthusiasts nevertheless.
Okay, so we now know how when this gizmo will arrive and how much it will cost, but one aspect we weren’t expecting was retailer exclusivity. That’s to say that the Dualshock 4 Back Button attachment will only be available from GAME here in the UK, with no other retailer – in-store or online – sanctioned to stock it. Still, given that GAME is a reliable and the go-to place for many when it comes to games and game accessories, it’s hardly something to be too concerned about.
Does this Back Button attachment seem like the kind of thing that would interest you and enhance your game-playing experience? If so, you can currently pre-order it at the link below:
