The new Coral Nintendo Switch Lite launches April 24th here in the UK

It was just a few weeks ago that Nintendo revealed a total new Nintendo Switch Lite colour tone, Coral, that is set to release on March 20^th in Japan. This news left many wondering when or whether or not this attractive-looking variant would eventually come to the UK. However, British gamers everywhere can rest easy knowing that it most certainly is, as Nintendo announced in a press release today that the Coral Nintendo Switch Lite will officially launch on April 24^th.

Okay, we’ll admit, having to wait an extra month compared to Japan does sting a little bit, but with stock of the main Nintendo Switch model currently very scarce country-wide, a new Switch Lite colour arriving soon should be music to the ears of Nintendo fans. While we now have an official release date, pre-orders haven’t quite gone live yet. We’ll be sure to let you know when they do, however, and embed them in this blog post.

The Nintendo Switch is already available in Turquoise, Yellow and Grey, but it’ll still be interesting to see just how much Coral will be able to move the sales needle. Do you plan on picking it up? The April 24^th release date covers the whole of Europe as well as the UK, with reliable reports suggesting that these units were manufactured months in advance of the current Coronovirus epidemic currently causing stock issues. As such, if you’re planning on grabbing a Coral Nintendo Switch Lite, you should rest easy knowing that there will be no planned delay.
