Well the Black Friday sales and Cyber Mondays might now be quietening down, but that hasn’t stopped Nintendo from subtly sneaking out a totally new, never previously announced Nintendo Switch console bundle. The console bundle in question is the standard Switch model and features the ever-brilliant Mario Kart 8: Deluxe right out of the box – all for just £319 RRP!
What’s special about this Nintendo Switch bundle is that it features Mario Kart 8: Deluxe bundled in as a digital download code, yes, but also that it appears to be the first Switch bundle from Nintendo itself to include the model featuring improved battery life. This isn’t explicitly stated, but given the red colour background of the box it’s pretty much a guarantee.
Other than this, players seem to have the standard choice of either Neon Red/Blue or gun metal Grey Joy-Con controllers with this new bundle, which first came to our attention after it popped up on GAME’s website earlier this morning. It’s retailing for £319, placing it £40 more than the Nintendo Switch on its own – as expected from Nintendo who notoriously doesn’t like discounting its products. Still, this Mario Kart 8: Deluxe bundle is a nice way for new purchasers to get the game without having to search for it separately.
There’s no telling if we’ll see any more of these new-generation Nintendo Switch bundles just yet, but how cool would it be to get one of these with Breath of the Wild thrown in? We’ll keep you posted on any future bundles, but in the meantime, let’s bask in the glory of this new one.
