Back in June, Microsoft showed off three new Xbox consoles that will be appearing sometime in 2024, including two new versions of the Xbox Series X and a new version of the Series S.
You can see what the new 2TB Series X, 1TB digital-only series X and the new Robot-White Series-S console will look like in this short video from Xbox.
These three new consoles launched on the 15th of October and should be a great sellers for Christmas 2024. We've summarised for you below the specs and prices for each console with links to where to find them.
The highlight of the June showcase was the 2TB Series X Galaxy Black Special Edition console, although there isn't a lot to talk about here. There are no new hardware upgrades for the only Xbox Series console that can play physical games beyond the storage being doubled. This new 2TB version will come in this rather fetching Galaxy Black colour, and will come with an exclusive matching Xbox Wireless Controller, featuring a Galaxy Black D-pad and Velocity Green back case.
This is only the second time Microsoft has made a limited-edition Series X console, with the other being the Halo Infinite Limited Edition that was released back in November 2021.
The surprising thing is that this larger SSD and new coat of paint will cost you $100 more than the standard series X, which means in the UK you'll likely be spending £80-£100 more than if you bought a 1TB console.
The rest of the specs remain the same and you can see them down below:

A digital-only Xbox Series X had been rumoured for a while, and now it's real and coming in 2024. It does what it says on the tin, it's the 1TB Series X console without a disc drive, and that lack of physical game compatibility will shave off £50 / $50 / €50. This version of the console will come in the same robot white as the Series S console which will make it a little more confusing to identify each console, but it does look good.
Releasing on the 15th October 2024 this one is sure to be a solid seller for the Christmas period as we see more and more gamers move to a digital-only setup.

Finally, there's a new Series S console coming. Back in September 2023 Xbox released a 1TB version of the original digital-only console in Carbon Black, and now you can get that digital console with the 1TB SSD in the Robot White that the original 512GB SSD version released in. It's the exact same as the current 1TB Series S console on the inside, so if you held off buying one last year because the colour didn't match your setup then this could be for you.
Releasing on the 15th of October (as with the new Xbox Series X consoles), this will be a great option for more casual gamers who aren't looking to spend £400+ on a next-gen console.

With the upcoming consoles themselves not offering much in the way of new hardware but coming with increased prices, hopefully we'll see some good discounts on the Series X and S consoles that are already available, especially the standard Series X which is still £459. The 512GB Series S has been available for under £200 a few times since its release, hopefully the presence of two 1TB versions could see the original one hit the £150 price point during the main sales events.
