In the mood for Nintendo's much sleeker, more affordable rendition of its popular hybrid console? Well, lucky for you, pre-orders have finally gone live for the extremely special (and undeniably Pokemon-themed) Zacian & Zamazenta Edition of the Nintendo Switch Lite. This edition of Nintendo's new hardware upgrade won't arrive until November, compared to the standard Switch Lite's September release date, but could be worth the wait for those especially excited about Pokemon Sword and Shield.
The design of the Zacian & Zamazenta Edition matches the cool grey colour found with one of the standard Nintendo Switch Lite options, shushing things up a bit by featuring imprints of both legendary Pokemon on the back and a combination of Light Blue and Light Red on the face buttons. It's certainly one of the most unique styles we've seen yet, much more reminiscent of the bold limited editions seen with previous 3DS incarnations.
Note: While the Nintendo Switch Lite Zacian & Zamazenta Edition will arrive to celebrate the release of Pokemon Sword and Shield, a copy of the game (physical or digital) will not come included. A little weird, but definitely not unheard of in the wide world of strange Nintendo practices. Nevertheless, the special edition is listed for the same price as the standard SKU.
