Another new football season means another edition of EA’s enormously popular football simulation, FIFA. FIFA 18 promises to take the potent mix of incredible graphics, unrivalled licensing arrangements and lightning fast gameplay to deliver the series’ most developed entry yet.
This year, it’ll be Sony and PlayStation that are offering several different console and FIFA bundles designed to cater to a wide range of buyers. No matter if you’re wanting to delve into the highly competitive online FIFA community or just want to face off casually against friends, there’s a PS4 FIFA 18 bundle for you.
In all, there are seven confirmed bundles at the moment. Of these, two are the PS4 Slim 500GB version, three are the PS4 Slim 1TB version and two are the PS4 Pro. We’ve included a brief breakdown of the differences between these console below, or you can read a more detailed explanation here. All bundles are slated to include the black versions of the consoles, not the white. All bundles will release on September 29th, FIFA 18’s release date, except where noted.
The 500GB version of the Slim is now the PlayStation’s standard basic model. It comes with a single DualShock 4 controller. View all 500GB bundles here.
Bundle 1
This is the most basic and therefore cheapest bundle with just the console and the basic version of the game.
Bundle 2
This bundle is identical to bundle 1, but comes with the Ronaldo edition of FIFA instead of the standard one.
Bundle 3
This bundle is the same as bundle 1, except with the addition of an extra official DualShock 4 controller, perfect for local multiplayer.
As the name suggests, the PS4 Slim 1TB is identical in appearance and hardware specs to the 500GB version, with the exception of its internal memory. These bundles are perfect for those somewhere in between casual gaming and dedicated gaming. View all Slim 1TB bundles here.
Bundle 4
This bundle is equivalent to bundle 1, but with an added 500GB of storage in the PS4. It will be the cheapest 1TB option available, and is expected to retail at around £299.99.
Bundle 5
This bundle is the same as bundle 4, but comes with the Ronaldo Edition of the game. This bundle will launch on September 26th with three days of early access.
Bundle 6
This bundle is the same as bundle 4, but comes with an extra DualShock 4 gamepad.
The PS4 Pro is Sony’s premier model of the PlayStation 4, capable of playing games (including FIFA 18) in 4K resolution. These bundles are for the dedicated gamers, and are best bought if you own (or are planning on buying) a 4K compatible TV. View all Pro bundles here.
Bundle 7
This bundle is the most basic offering with the high powered PS4 Pro.
Bundle 8
Finally, this is the most expensive PS4 FIFA 18 bundle, and the one to get if you’re determined to have the best possible FIFA 18 experience. This bundle is likely to cost somewhere around the £399.99 mark.
Even with such a range of options, it’s entirely possible that Sony will release further bundle combinations.
Although not confirmed in Sony's original press release about the bundles, it does appear that we'll be getting a Ronaldo edition of the 500GB Slim console as well as the 1TB Slim and 1TB Pro.
Another possibility would be one or more bundles with the Icon edition of the game, the version with the most bonus content.
