Several UK retailers outline their plans for selling PS5 stock ahead of the console’s UK launch tomorrow

Depending on whether you were able to secure your PS5 pre-order back in September, tomorrow will either be an exciting or anxious time for a large portion of the gaming audience. You might find yourself eagerly waiting for the delivery man to show up or are questioning if you’ll even be able to lay hands on Sony’s next-gen console before the end of the year. We know that certain UK retailers will have limited launch day PS5 stock tomorrow, but Sony itself has largely been tight-lipped about how orders will be handled.

A post published on the official PlayStation blog some weeks ago did make it clear that no PlayStation 5 units will be sold directly across the counter at retail stores, with all sales moving online. But what about purchase times, stock levels and which retailers will have some to sell on November 19th? Luckily, today has been rife with recognisable UK retailers taking to social media and clarifying how they will approach PlayStation 5 launch day.

We first spotted this trend around 1:30pm today, with the Twitter account for GAME’s Cardiff outlet confirming with a user that the games retail giant will be setting PS5 stock live at precisely 9:00AM tomorrow. (See below:)

Then, throughout the day, other UK retailers sent out messages to customers subscribed to their mailing list with what to expect, best practices to secure an order and – in some cases – what times they’ll be setting stock live below. Using this information, we’ve pooled all the important info together in the following breakdown…

· Tesco – 9:00AM

· GAME – 9:00AM

· Currys PC World – 9:00AM

· Amazon UK – 12:00PM

· Smyths – No new stock planned

We at Gaming Deals will be keeping all our social channels and home page updated with all the latest stock information relating to the PS5. Following these will ensure that you’ll know the very instant each retailer goes live. Still, now that a fair few have confirmed a specific time, it sets every prospective purchaser on even ground to try and buy themselves a PlayStation 5.
