Sony secure Red Dead Redemption 2 rights, announce three PS4 bundles

One of the year's most highly anticipated games, Red Dead Redemption 2, is getting three PlayStation 4 bundles. Rockstar's Wild West-set open world title has been delayed multiple times, but it's finally seeing the light of day on 26th October, eight years after the first game.

The game, from the same developers as Grand Theft Auto, is expected to be one of the biggest sellers of the year, despite being released with a little over two months of 2018 left. The company's last major title, Grand Theft Auto V, is the third best-selling game in history; if Red Dead Redemption 2 achieves half GTA V's success, it will have been a hit.

Sony have moved to ensure that anyone who has held off on a current generation console (the original Red Dead came out on the PS3 and Xbox 360) will be tempted by the PS4 with these bundles.

Unfortunately, despite Red Dead's artwork style lending itself to some interesting design ideas, Sony have opted to stick for the classic black design for their three bundles. These bundles cover:

• PS4 Slim 1TB
• PS4 Pro 1TB
