This Sunday will see Ubisoft step up to the metaphorical global stage by way of its own virtual press conference. It’s called Ubisoft Forward, and if everything we heard about it so far is true, players should expect to see new looks at Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion and possibly more Triple-A titles we likely don’t even know about.
As if that wasn’t exciting enough, however, Ubisoft is encouraging people to watch along by giving away one of its tentpole games for free: Watch Dogs 2. All you need to do to be eligible for the offer is log into your Uplay account during the show’s airing (8PM on Sunday here in the UK) and the open-world hack-a-thon set in San Francisco is yours. Unfortunately, this does mean that the offer is only eligible to PC players.
This is obviously a means for Ubisoft to up its viewership numbers on what will be the very first Ubisoft Forward presentation, though it’s also a prime opportunity to get caught up to speed on the Watch Dogs universe before Legion releases later this year. Up until now Ubisoft has been experimenting with making its games temporarily to tide players over during the pandemic, but in this case, Watch Dogs 2 will be well and truly yours to keep – no hacking required.
Don’t forget to tune into the show at 8PM on Sunday night and log into your Uplay account to receive this offer. And for Xbox One and PS4 players that feel like they’re missing out, you can find the best Watch Dogs 2 price for those platforms below:
