Starfield is just around the corner now and after the disappointing launch of Redfall Xbox definitely needs a good win this year and Bethesda's sprawling space RPG adventure could just be it. Xbox seem to have no issue hyping up Starfield and that's only continuing with the release of a limited edition controller and headset featuring designs themed around Starfield.
Since the release of the new Xbox controller for the Xbox Series X and S consoles Microsoft have been relentless in releasing new colourways for the controller with a selection of both limited editions and general releases to give fans plenty of ways to customise their gaming set-up to suit their own style. Of all these controllers I have to say I think this new Starfield Limited Edition is up there with the best of the best. The controller has a white base with Starfield-inspired branding across the design, with a gold metallic D-pad that just pops. The rubberised grips of the controller are two tones of grey and the back of the controller has a burgundy-red panel with the constellation logo.
The controller is available today, so you don't need to wait for Starfield to release in order to pick one up. You can currently find the controller at the Microsoft store and Amazon UK for £69.99. We can definitely see this one going out of stock as is the way of limited edition peripherals so if this is something you know you want to buy, we wouldn't delay.
Xbox Wireless Controller - Starfield Limited Edition
The Starfield-themed Xbox Wireless headset is actually the first limited edition to come to this official Xbox headset since it was released back in 2022. It'll be interesting to see if moving forward Xbox will continue to bring us limited edition Headsets to celebrate game launches as well as the tried and tested controllers. I guess that could depend on the success of this headset.
The design here is similar to the controller with a white base colour accented by Starfield-themed branding and burgundy-red being used on the inside of the headband to contrast the whites and greys seen across the headset. Once again a really good-looking peripheral that should attract fans who are looking forward to exploring the world of Starfield.
This new headset will set you back £114.99 in the UK however it is available at a few more stores so you're not limited to only picking this one up directly from Xbox. Just like the controller it's already out and available, you don't need to wait for the release of Starfield.
So what are your thoughts on these new Starfield-inspired peripherals from Xbox?
