Developed in-house by the folks over at Larian Studios, the Divinity series is intended as a modern take on the isometric action of classic in-depth RPG games like Baldur’s Gate. It sees you and up to three friends create your own custom fantasy character before buddying up as your own party. As such, Divinity: Original Sin 2 allows you to explore a huge open world that can provide hundreds of hours of content.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is set in the beautiful world of Rivellon, setting you off in a world unknown as part of a story that’s set roughly 100 years after the original. On your 100+ hour journey either solo or with friends you’ll get to explore Rivellon’s diverse collection of settings and environments, whether that be dank waterways or luscious open forests. It’s all yours for the taking!
Any fantasy or tabletop RPG fan will tell you that an adventure is one best experienced with friends, and thankfully you can do this as a party of four in Divinity: Original Sin 2. You don’t even need to be in the same room thanks to four-player co-op support, but equally you can do battle and explore side-by-side thanks to the option to play split-screen, too.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 originally released exclusively on PC before eventually making the jump to both PS4 and Xbox One. Thankfully, the wait for a console iteration was absolutely worth it, largely due to this being dubbed the “Definitive Edition”, which includes a deluge of new content and areas.
