New Nintendo Switch Bundle announced just in time for Mar10 Day

Nintendo's annual MAR10 day (March 10th) is set to be a bumper this year with the release of the highly anticipated Super Mario Bros movie.  We had a feeling Nintendo would want to do something to help boost sales of the Nintendo Switch during this period and what do you know!  A new Nintendo Switch bundle has been announced...

We spotted on the Nintendo of America Twitter account the announcement of the bundle and today we have begun to see the first bundles appear for pre-order at ShopTo.net (see links below). 

However, we did spot a difference between the EU and US versions. The US version of the bundle allows you to choose a digital game, you can select between:

• Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
• New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe
• Super Mario Odyssey

The EU version of the console does not allow you to choose, you're lumped with Super Mario Odyssey and you can't choose any other game.  Mmmm.  Why does the EU always get the rough end of the stick?  There is a slight difference between the artwork for the bundles:

Nintendo also includes "Official Sticker Sheets from The Super Mario Bros. Movie!", this does sound kind of cool, although as yet we haven't seen these stickers, fingers crossed they've put a bit of effort in.

Is this bundle worthwhile?  We're not sure, it would have been nice for this console to be the OLED version as the standard version of the Switch is starting to show its age.  As for the Super Mario Odyssey game, it's great if you haven't played it already but it's been out for some time.
