A central touchpad for increased ease of use
One of the main new features added in the jump from Dualshock 3 to Dualshock 4 is the central touchpad. It’s entirely sensitive to touch so as to recognise your swipes in any direction, and can also be clicked down as a traditional button. Most modern games use the Dualshock 4’s touchpad to provide easy access to the in-game map, which can then be dragged and dropped with a pinch.
