The Sega Mega Drive Mini visually replicates the design of the original Sega console, albeit at a size that is much more suited to being neatly slotted into any entertainment centre. The Mega Drive’s original three-button control pad has also been authentically recreated.
Two control pads for couch co-op fun
Whereas Nintendo’s recent retro consoles required you to purchase a second controller separately, the Sega Megadrive Mini comes with two full-sized three-button controllers right out of the box. Both plug neatly into the mini console itself, remaining fully compatible with all included two-player games like Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Streets of Rage 2 and Toejam & Earl. Both wired control pads feature a long enough lead that games can be enjoyed from the comfort of your couch.
