Gran Turismo 7 Trailer

Sony’s longstanding racing simulation series has been in deep development for some time, with the upcoming Gran Turismo 7 built for the ground up for PlayStation 5. Not much is known about the title as gameplay is yet to be revealed, but Polyphony Digital is a studio known for excellent attention to detail, so there’s every opportunity for this eighth series instalment to again raise the bar for the entire racing genre.

22 years of development experience comes together in Gran Turismo 7 to bring PS5 players the best features from the history of the franchise. You’ll be able to compete across a range of vehicles of tracks from both the classic and modern era of racing, practising in the sports mode before testing out your skill in official FIA championships. Whether you’re a fine-tuning engineer or a professional racer, Gran Turismo 7 is set to work on many levels.

The real driving simulator, Gran Turismo 7, returns on PS5 on March 4th 2022

Gran Turismo has made its two-decade long mission to perfect the art of racing simulation within a video game. The PS5 version looks set to up this yet again, allowing players to explore a range of new tools and features only made possible with the power of next-gen hardware. Stunning visuals and fast loading are just some of the new boons Gran Turismo 7 will offer players when it releases on PlayStation 5 later in 2022.

Haptic feedback support offers more depth to driving

Gran Turismo 7 will be a showcase for the PS5’s new Dualsense controller, which will utilise the adaptive triggers to help players feel the difference in pedal weight at different sensitivity ranges. There will also be a variation in throttle felt through the gamepad’s vibrations depending on the type of car you’re driving.

Tempest 3D AudioTech with appropriate headphones

The PS5’s official Pulse headset touts what’s known as Tempest 3D AudioTech. This will bring a new depth to the simulation racing experience, even going so far as to let you sense the position of other cars and racers around you through sound. Spatial awareness and expression of depth both come together for players that have the appropriate tech.
