Just Cause 4 is the latest entry in Square Enix’s action-adventure series that asks the question: What happens when you give a special agent operative a grappling hook? Franchise protagonist Rico Rodriguez returns to help answer that question, this time wreaking havoc in the fictional South American country of Solís. New this time around are extreme weather conditions, added destructible environments and a fresh set of mechanical upgrades that allows Rico Rodriguez take advantage of both.
Solís is an adrenaline junkie’s ultimate dream, helping to take the Just Cause series’ incredible destruction and unique physics to a whole new level thanks to the introduction of storms, blizzards, tornadoes and other bouts of extreme weather. Each of Just Cause 4’s four distinct biomes – Rainforest, Grasslands, Alpine and Desert – offers its own individual, fully simulated weather event, offering players will have a high-octane third-person adventure that sees them traverse an environment that is deep, diverse and dangerous.
Rico’s mission charts his attempts to dismantle antagonist Oscar Espinosa’s militant empire and free the people of Solís. Equipped with his trademark grappling hook that sees him soar through the sky, as well as a wingsuit that allows him to glide through it, Just Cause 4 marks Rico’s most thrilling entry yet.
