All three Star Wars trilogies recreated for block-based fun

When picking up Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, players can expect to jump into over 45 levels that convincingly reconstruct George Lucas’ original trilogy, the prequels, as well as the ongoing series of Star Wars films centred on Rey. All offer up a slew of familiar characters to play as, seeing you explore such iconic locations as Hoth, Endor and Tatooine that have all been recreated in block form.

If you’re someone who’s been gaming in some capacity since the early 2000s, odds are that you’ve played a Lego Star Wars game. They act as the best way to unleash your inner creator while also getting to play through your favourite Star Wars movie in lovable fashion, and now the developers over at TT Games have reimagined all three movie trilogies for its latest game: Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

This new Lego-themed venture back to a galaxy far, far away doesn’t repackage the old iterations of episodes 1 through 6, instead remaking them from the ground up using an all new engine. Joining these classic adventures is the entirety of Disney’s new trilogy – adding in open worlds, new combat manoeuvres and a cast of over 100 characters from across the Star Wars universe. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the ultimate family adventure for big and small players alike.

A revised engine for the best Lego Star Wars game yet

Previous Lego games played rather simply, letting you and another player smash, bash and crash your way through memorable moments from the Star Wars films while gaining as many studs as possible. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been developed using an entirely new engine, however, allowing light saber fights to involve a variety of combos and an over-the-shoulder perspective for characters that can shoot.

A widely explorable galaxy to discover

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga no longer sticks to the rigid structure of other Lego games, instead letting players traverse through the world at their own pace by hopping from planet to planet. It’s here where random encounters with other ships can happen. For example, there’s nothing preventing an Imperial Star Destroyer from suddenly jumping out of hyperspace and sending a fleet of TIE Fighters after you.

Hundreds of playable characters from throughout the galaxy!

With the ability to play through all 9 movies comes a huge selection of characters to pilot. Control heroes like Poe Dameron, Luke Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, or feel the power of the dark side with the likes of Kylo Ren, Darth Vader and Darth Maul. This is truly the biggest Lego Star Wars adventure ever boasting over 300 characters to guide through the galaxy.
